Research at CMRIT 2026 — CollegeAndFees

Research at CMRIT spans AI-ML, Data Science, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Renewable Energy, Robotics, Industrial IoT, Mechatronics and Civil Infrastructure. Funded projects come from DST, AICTE RPS, MeitY, DRDO and the Karnataka State Science and Technology Council. Faculty publish in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier and Scopus-indexed journals with steady year-on-year output. Recent patents include themes around IoT-based agritech sensors, edge AI for healthcare, energy-efficient VLSI and intelligent transportation. Industry-academia partnerships include Cisco (Networking Academy), IBM, Microsoft, AWS, Bosch, Wipro and Robert Bosch Engineering. The institute participates in the Atal Innovation Mission and Atal Tinkering ecosystem and supports student-led innovation through the CMRIT Innovation Centre. International MoUs with select universities in Asia and Europe support student exchange and joint research projects.
