Research at CMR University spans AI-ML and Data Science, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Robotics, Architecture and Sustainable Design, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, Industrial IoT, Mechatronics and Civil Infrastructure. The university hosts dedicated research centres for AI, Cyber Security, Sustainable Architecture and Smart Cities. Funded projects come from DST, AICTE RPS, MeitY, DRDO, ISRO RESPOND and the Karnataka State Council.
