VIT Vellore consistently ranks among the top 20 in NIRF Engineering. Research runs across every major engineering, science, biotech, architecture and health-sciences discipline. The institute hosts the Centre for Innovation, VIT Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems, Centre for Excellence in Renewable Energy, Centre for Advanced Engineering Studies, Centre for Sustainable Development and many discipline-specific centres. The institute files 100+ patents annually with publications in Nature, Science, Physical Review Letters, IEEE Transactions, ACM and top Springer/Elsevier venues. Major funding from DST, AICTE, MeitY, DBT, ISRO, DRDO and several international agencies. Industry partnerships span Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Robert Bosch, Texas Instruments, Tata Group, Reliance, Cisco, Intel, NVIDIA, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Larsen and Toubro and many deep-tech startups.
