Research at PESCE 2026 — CollegeAndFees

PES College of Engineering Mandya drives focused research across IoT, smart cities, AI/ML, sustainable energy, automotive engineering, biotechnology and structural engineering. The institute houses the Centre for Excellence in IoT and Cyber-Physical Systems (sponsored by MeitY), the Centre for Sustainable Mobility (in collaboration with KPIT and Bosch), the Centre for Cyber Security and the Bio-Research Innovation Centre. Faculty publish 130-160 SCI/Scopus papers annually with research grants from DST, AICTE, MEITY, DRDO, BARC, ISRO, KSCST and various private industry collaborations totaling INR 8-12 crore. The institute has filed 35+ patents in IoT, biomedical devices, automotive systems and renewable energy, with 5 commercialised. Active partnerships: Microsoft Research India, IBM, KPIT, Bosch, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Toyota Kirloskar, ISRO, DRDO and CSIR-CFTRI Mysuru. Operates 4 international research collaborations (NTU Singapore, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IISc Bangalore).
