IMU Chennai admits B.Tech (Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical) students through CET (IMU Common Entrance Test). Cutoff ranks vary by year. Marine Engineering CET 2024 closing ranks under General Merit were typically 1500-3500. Carry to admission: 10th and 12th marksheets, IMU CET score card, transfer/migration certificate, conduct certificate, Aadhaar, six passport photos, medical fitness certificate (mandatory for marine engineering given on-board service requirements). The first-year fee is around ₹2,80,000-4,00,000.
