Research at Kalasalingam spans AI-ML and Data Science, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Robotics, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, Industrial IoT, Biotechnology and Civil Infrastructure. The university hosts dedicated research centres for AI, Cyber Security, Renewable Energy and Innovation. Funded projects come from DST, AICTE, MeitY, DBT, ISRO, DRDO, Tamil Nadu State Council and several international agencies. Faculty publish in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier and Scopus-indexed journals.
