JNTU Hyderabad runs separate boys and girls hostels on the Kukatpally campus. First-year B.Tech students typically get triple-sharing rooms with double rooms from the second year by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 are heavily subsidised at ~₹35,000-65,000 per academic year inclusive of mess given Telangana state-university status. Mess service includes vegetarian (with strong Telangana/Hyderabadi cuisine), non-vegetarian and Jain options across hostels.
