IIT Bombay admits B.Tech students through JEE Advanced + JoSAA counselling. Typical 2024 closing ranks under General Merit Open category were: CSE 50-150, EE 250-400, Mathematics & Computing 100-300, Engineering Physics 600-1100, Mechanical 1500-2500, Aerospace 1500-2400, Chemical 2500-3800, Civil 3500-5000, Energy Engineering 4000-5500, Metallurgical 4500-6500. Round-by-round closing ranks in JoSAA's six rounds plus CSAB's two supplementary rounds determine final allocation. Carry to admission: 10th and 12th marksheets, JEE Advanced score card, JoSAA seat allotment letter, transfer/migration certificate, conduct certificate, Aadhaar, six passport photos and domicile certificate for state-level reservations. The first-year fee is around ₹2,50,000 with full waivers for SC/ST/PwD and substantial concessions for low-income families. NRI and foreign-national admissions go through DASA with separate seat counts and fee structure (typically USD 8,000-9,000 per year). The four-year B.Tech and five-year Dual Degree programmes are available across departments.
