IIITDM Jabalpur operates a fully residential campus model — 100% of BTech, MTech and PhD students live on-campus across 8 hostel blocks (5 boys, 3 girls). Boys hostels: Yamuna, Saraswati, Tapti, Brahmaputra, Vindhya. Girls hostels: Ganga, Krishna, Mahanadi (named after Indian rivers, IIIT-A naming style). Hostel fee for 2026-27 is INR 16,500 per semester (room rent + maintenance) plus INR 8,000 monthly mess fee — total INR 95,000 per academic year. All rooms are single-occupancy from second year onwards (twin-sharing for first-year). Mess offers North Indian, South Indian, Continental, Madhya Pradesh and Punjabi rotation, with separate Jain counter and weekly special menus. Each room has built-in study desk, cot, wardrobe and 24x7 100 Mbps Wi-Fi. Common areas include TT, carrom, gym, basketball court, indoor sports hall, music room, dance studio and a 24x7 student-run canteen. Curfew is midnight for outer gates; in-hostel movement is unrestricted. Ladies hostel has dedicated security and biometric entry. Visiting hours for parents: 9 AM to 6 PM. Hostel allotment is automatic at admission — no separate application.
