IIIT Guwahati accepts admissions exclusively through JEE Main → JoSAA counselling for BTech CSE, BTech ECE and BTech IT. JoSAA closing ranks for 2024: BTech CSE closed at AIR 12,500 General (HS — Assam domicile), AIR 9,500 General (OS); BTech ECE AIR 18,500 General (HS) / AIR 14,200 General (OS); BTech IT AIR 14,500 General (OS). EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST closing ranks expand by ~1.4x, 1.6x, 4.5x and 7x respectively. Counselling proceeds through 6 JoSAA rounds + CSAB. Total fee: INR 1.55 lakh tuition per semester + INR 16,500 hostel + INR 48,000 mess (per semester) = INR 4.40 lakh/year approximately. SC/ST and below INR 5L family income students get full tuition waiver.
