HBTU Kanpur engineering alumni network spans 65,000+ graduates since the institute opened in 1921 (one of India oldest engineering institutes). Notable alumni include several IIT/IIM founding faculty members, senior leaders at Reliance Industries (especially Chemical and Petroleum), GAIL India, IOCL, BPCL, BARC, BHEL, ISRO, plus senior executives at Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Amazon, TCS Digital, Infosys, Wipro and Cyient. The HBTU Alumni Association operates dedicated chapters in Kanpur, Lucknow, NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Singapore, Dubai, Bay Area, New York, Toronto and London. Annual alumni meet "HBTU Sangam" attracts 1,500+ alumni each January, with branch reunions through February. The Alumni Mentorship Program connects 800+ student-alumni pairs annually. The HBTU Endowment Fund, sustained by alumni contributions over a century, funds 200+ scholarships annually.
