Marwadi University drives focused research across AI/ML, IoT, smart cities, sustainable energy, biotechnology, automotive engineering, materials science and structural engineering. The institute houses the Centre for Excellence in AI/ML (sponsored by MeitY), the Centre for Cyber Security, the Centre for Sustainable Mobility (in collaboration with Adani Group and Reliance Industries), the Centre for Robotics and Drones, and the Bio-Research Innovation Centre. Faculty publish 160-200 SCI/Scopus papers annually with research grants from DST, AICTE, MEITY, DRDO, BARC, ISRO, GSBTM (Gujarat State Biotech Mission) and various private industry collaborations totaling INR 10-12 crore. The institute has filed 40+ patents in IoT, biomedical devices, automotive systems and renewable energy, with 6 commercialised. Active partnerships: Adani Group, Reliance Industries, Microsoft Research India, IBM, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Volkswagen India and TIFR Mumbai. Operates 4 international research collaborations (NTU Singapore, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IISc Bangalore).
