Research at Jain University covers AI-ML and Data Science, Cyber Security, Aerospace and Astrophysics (the university hosts a Centre for Astrophysics and Space Sciences with collaborations to the Indian Institute of Astrophysics), Biotechnology, Computational Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Renewable Energy, Robotics and Industrial IoT. Active research grants come from DST, AICTE RPS, MeitY, ISRO RESPOND, DBT (Department of Biotechnology), DRDO and the Karnataka State Council. Faculty publish in Elsevier, Springer, IEEE, ACS and Scopus-indexed venues with cumulative citation indices well into thousands. Patents filed include themes around drug-delivery systems, agritech sensors, biosensors and intelligent transportation. International partnerships include MoUs with universities in the UK, the US, Australia, Germany and Singapore. Jain operates dedicated doctoral schools and research centres, and engineering faculty actively co-supervise Ph.D. theses with sciences and biotech faculty.
