IIT Patna admits B.Tech students through JEE Advanced + JoSAA counselling. Typical 2024 closing ranks under General Merit Open category were: CSE 2300-3500, EE 6000-8500, ECE 6000-8500, Mechanical 9500-13500, Chemical 11500-15500, Civil 13000-17500, Materials Science 12500-17000, Engineering Physics 11500-15500, Mathematics & Computing 5500-7500, Metallurgical 14500-19000. Round-by-round closing ranks in JoSAA's six rounds plus CSAB's two supplementary rounds determine final allocation. Carry to admission: 10th and 12th marksheets, JEE Advanced score card, JoSAA seat allotment letter, transfer/migration certificate, conduct certificate, Aadhaar, six passport photos and domicile certificate for state-level reservations.
