IIT Dharwad 470-acre campus is among India newer second-generation IIT campuses. Branch-specific facilities span Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and several specialist centres. The Central Library holds 2,80,000+ volumes with comprehensive IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, ACS and Wiley subscriptions. Sports facilities include cricket and football grounds, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, athletics track, swimming pool, indoor sports complex and gymnasium.
