Research at East West Institute of Technology 2026

Research at EWIT covers AI-ML and Data Science, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Power Electronics, Robotics, Industrial IoT, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy and Civil Infrastructure. Funded projects come from DST, AICTE RPS, MeitY, DRDO and the Karnataka State Science and Technology Council. Faculty publish in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier and Scopus-indexed journals with steady year-on-year output. Recent patents include themes around energy-efficient VLSI, edge AI for healthcare, agritech sensors and intelligent transportation. Industry-academia partnerships include Cisco (Networking Academy), IBM, Microsoft, AWS, Bosch and Robert Bosch Engineering. The institute participates in the Atal Innovation Mission ecosystem with student-led projects publishing in Scopus-indexed venues each year.
