Coimbatore Institute of Technology operates a fully residential campus model — 90%+ of BTech students live on-campus across 6 hostel blocks (4 boys, 2 girls) accommodating ~2,500 students. AC twin-sharing rooms cost INR 1.05 lakh per academic year (rent + amenities + electricity); non-AC twin-sharing INR 65,000-80,000; single-occupancy AC (limited, mostly final-year) INR 1.45 lakh/year. Mess fee separate at INR 45,000-55,000/year covering 4 daily meals. Mess offers Tamil authentic, North Indian, South Indian, Continental and a separate Jain/vegetarian counter. Each room has cot, study desk, wardrobe, attached bathroom (in newer blocks), 100 Mbps Wi-Fi and AC backup. Common amenities: AC reading rooms, indoor sports halls (TT, carrom), gym, basketball court, cricket ground, swimming pool (limited use), tuck shops, ATMs and 24x7 medical room. Curfew: 10:30 PM for boys, 9:30 PM for girls.
