BIT students benefit from the institute's private-aided status which keeps KCET-quota tuition meaningfully lower than fully-private peers. Karnataka domicile students stack state schemes — Post-matric SC/ST, Vidyasiri (OBC, Category-I), EBC scholarship and Karnataka E-Pass — which often fully waive KEA tuition for eligible families. Defence wards qualify for PM Scholarship Scheme and Sainik Welfare Board concessions. Sports admits at state, national or international level receive separate waivers. Institutional scholarships from the Vokkaligara Sangha (the Trust running BIT) cover top KCET rankers and offer need-based concessions reviewed each semester. AICTE Pragati for girl students and AICTE Saksham for differently-abled students are accepted on application. Corporate scholarships from Aditya Birla, Reliance Foundation, KC Mahindra and Tata Trusts can be applied externally. Education loan tie-ups with SBI and Canara Bank are facilitated by the financial-aid cell.
