Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham runs an extensive on-campus hostel system across its multi-campus network with separate hostels for boys and girls. The Amritapuri (Kollam, Kerala), Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Bengaluru, Chennai and Mysuru campuses each have dedicated hostel infrastructure. First-year B.Tech students are typically allocated triple-sharing rooms with double and limited single occupancy by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 broadly fall in the ₹1,40,000-2,00,000 range inclusive of mess, with AC blocks priced higher. Mess service is predominantly vegetarian (sattvic) reflecting the institute's spiritual ethos under Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma) — non-vegetarian options are limited or unavailable depending on campus. Mess includes North Indian, South Indian and traditional cuisine rotations. Wi-Fi, hot-water geysers, gymnasium access, study lounges and CCTV are standard. The institute's strong spiritual-cultural identity should be considered before joining as it permeates daily campus life. Bring own bedding, padlock, bucket and toiletries.
